Garden Fresh Restaurants, which owns 97 Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants, has appointed Nicole Bushnell as CMO and John Gigliott as vice president of information technology, the company said in a press release.
Bushnell will join the Garden Fresh team at Luna Grill, where he served as vice president of marketing for the past four years. He was responsible for brand strategy, e-commerce and loyalty platforms, creative and content direction, and product development. During his tenure, the chain grew from 18 to 51 locations in California and Texas, according to the announcement.
In his Garden Fresh role, Bushnell leads all brand and marketing activities across the country, setting the company with opportunities for growth and class development. He works with Gigliott and his goal is to steer the company towards a tech-forward marketing approach, including launching an integrated point-of-sale loyalty program.

Gigliotti most recently moved from Austin to San Diego, along with 102-unit operator Chuyn Opco, who served as IT director and oversaw the new integrated point-of-sale installation, developed internal resources to manage critical security standards, and better align IT departments with company goals.
