The founders, Jack, Pat, and Shane learned first-hand the devastating effect that sudden cardiac arrest can have on a community. The childhood friends were introduced to ECG screening through their work in the cardiac space and were surprised to discover that the simple life-saving test is not easily accessible for most people. To solve this problem, a program was developed by Mass Heartbeat to bring cardiac screenings to the masses in the most convenient and affordable way possible. MHB aims to screen at High Schools, Colleges, and Corporations to lessen the occurrence of sudden cardiac arrest in the community.
Mass Heartbeat has been formed as a benefit corporation and will contribute a percentage of revenue to the Live4Evan organization, which provides temporary housing for families of children with congenital heart disease.
