It’s a brand new year but with instructions still to stay home for millions, we need some brand new stuff to watch.
And kicking off 2021 on the BBC is the return of Jodie Whittaker as Doctor Who.
Revolution Of The Daleks, which airs New Year’s Day, will see a fresh battle with the show’s most famous villains, picking up where season 12 concluded on March 1 2020.
There’s also another major return on the cards as Captain Jack Harkness will return to Doctor Who in earnest as he aids Yaz, Ryan and Graham.
But the Doctor remains unable to help them in their fight, trapped inside a high-security space prison far from Earth and her Tardis.
The special is set to air at 6.45pm. on BBC One tonight, Friday January 1.
As well as the new arrival, a sad farewell will be bid to Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole, who joined the cast of the BBC One programme in 2018 in Jodie Whittaker’s first full series as the Doctor, as they leave in the special episode.
Series 13 is set to follow some time this year but no start date has been revealed yet.
